KOBLIC

It is the year 1977. Captain Tomás Kóblic is about to face the most distressed dilemma of his life: he is in charge of one of the “Death flights” (Vuelos de la muerte), along with other repressors. Kóblic makes a decision that will change his life. He takes refuge in Colonia Helena, a lost town a few kilometres away from the Atlantic shore, where he spends his days harassed by the chief of police Velaverde, involved in a romantic relationship with Nancy, who is married to Super -a vulgar and amoral local trader-, chased by the Army and, most of all, trapped by his own ghosts.

Koblic is a film full of suspense and treason. It narrates the tragic journey of a man who exiles to another hell: a lost town in the middle of the vast Pampa which reflects the worst violence during the dictatorship in Argentina.
