Cecilia (Vicky Almeida) and Diego (Diego Gentile), a couple in their mid-thirties, have not long ago moved to Tolhuin, a long-suffering town in Tierra del Fuego, because of his job as a Forestry technician.

Due to the inability to conceive children, they start the adoption process. Joel´s sudden arrival, a 9-year-old boy with a tough life history, turns their lives upside down. The illusions, a fast parenthood learning process and the challenge to educate him and insert him in that small southern community will turn an eye on their own life schemes. And a conflict which arises at the only State school in town, where the kid attends, will tighten the social relationships and the couple relationship itself.
